Avebury Stone Circle — Wiltshire, England
Avebury is one of the largest Neolithic stone circles in Europe, a place where landscape and ritual were shaped together at monumental scale. Walking its earthworks and settling into the presence of its stones offers insight into how people once created spaces for gathering, cosmology, and ceremony. Its vastness, porosity, and open relationship to the surrounding land continue to influence how I think about the power of place-based ritual and the importance of thresholds and approach.
